Life Fitness Customers Take Center Stage at UK Tradeshow Featuring Synrgy360 Group Ex Classes

At a typical trade show, the usual procedure is for the manufacturer to engage in “song and dance” and the customer to “oooo” and “ahhhh.” But at Leisure Industry Week (LIW), the leading U.K. fitness industry trade show, Life Fitness customer St. Peter’s Leisure Centre in Burnley stole the show – featuring its elite staff of personal trainers who wanted to demonstrate their success in adopting the Synrgy360 training program.
Last year, when St. Peter’s Leisure Centre was looking for a unique solution to help drive higher customer retention rates and increase membership figures, they turned to Life Fitness and the Synrgy360 to add some excitement to their floor and recruit new members to group training. A centerpiece on the gym floor, the Synrgy360 provides unlimited workout options incorporating all of the current top-ten fitness trends, creating an accessible and inviting central hub in one efficient space for classes, personal trainers and individuals. Members benefit from a timetable of tailor-made, Synrgy specific classes focused entirely on functional training, working all areas of the body and appropriate for all abilities.
At LIW, the St. Peter’s Synrgy instructors showed off their talents to an audience of an estimated 8,000 people. Neil Hutchinson, Leisure Facilities General Manager, attributes much of the clubs success with Synrgy360 to its program implementation.
“You can’t just put it there and expect people to use it, you have to work on it,” he explains. Hutchinson adds that during the product’s first month in the facility, trainers demoed Synrgy360 classes every hour to show members how they could use the new innovative product. St. Peter’s went on to train all facility staff, from cleaners and reception to general managers, on the Synrgy360 product so that everyone working for the organization would be able to explain the benefits of Synrgy training. It was also incorporated into one-on-one PT sessions and added to the group exercise calendar, with 25 classes every week.
Members now have unlimited training possibilities through this one solution and are able to achieve their goals by adding more diversity to their existing workouts, such as endurance, improved balance, coordination, speed, agility, flexibility, power and strength. To achieve these goals, the product combines several popular exercise trends including core training, body-weight training, reaction training and sport-specific activities.
The St. Peter’s Leisure Centre in Burnley has been named a finalist in the UK National Fitness Awards for Functional Training Gym of the Year. Hutchinson attributes that new recognition to its implementation of Synrgy360 programming. The winner will be named December 6.
