New FlexStrider™ Variable-Stride Trainer and PowerMill™ Climber Expand Elevation Series, Accommodate Wide Range of Exercisers
SAN DIEGO, IHRSA Booth 1615, March 13, 2014 – Life Fitness, the global leader in commercial fitness equipment manufacturing, is expanding its Elevation Series cardio line-up with two new feature-rich machines: FlexStrider, a variable-stride trainer, and PowerMill, a motor-powered climber. Both products are first-time offerings for Life Fitness and provide options for exercisers and facilities looking to address the trend toward high-intensity interval training and total-body cardio.
“Both FlexStrider and PowerMill answer the industry need for innovative products that can be used by a wide variety of exercisers – no matter their fitness ability,” said Chris Clawson, President of Life Fitness. “These additions make our Elevation Series the most dynamic line-up in the industry, providing increased workout possibilities for the exerciser and expansive options for the facility floor.”
FlexStrider Variable-Stride Trainer Offers Industry’s Widest Stride Range, Easiest Start-Up
Life Fitness poured its biomechanics expertise into the company’s first-ever variable-stride trainer, resulting in a machine with a free-motion path allowing exercisers to emulate true walking, jogging and running motions. Low start-up resistance and a low-to-ground profile makes the machine easily-accessible to a wide variety of exercisers that can benefit from its low-impact and total-body cardio workouts.
The FlexStrider Variable-Stride Trainer has a stride length that ranges up to 36” and lets exercisers vary their length on the fly, providing a higher caloric burn due to the body’s need to maintain stride control. Pre-programmed workouts, resistance-control selections and handle bars provide a variety of options and intensity levels for a full-body workout.
PowerMill Climber Motorizes Step Workouts, Invites All Fitness Levels
For the first time in the company’s history, Life Fitness is introducing a step climber into its product range. Another addition to Elevation Series – and also available in Life Fitness Integrity Series – the PowerMill Climber uses proven Life Fitness technology to create a powerhouse perfect for high-intensity, low-impact training.
The PowerMill Climber is equipped with a first-in-the-industry SureStepSystem™ technology. The system’s pinnacle feature is the AC motor, which provides the widest interval training range available in a step climber. From 12 steps per minute on the low end up to 185 steps per minute at highest speed, the motor’s broad speed options provide applications for all exercisers, whether they are engaging in reconditioning or interval training.
The SureStepSystem also features a patented MaxBlox™ system to eliminate toe-pinch and a stable platform for starting and ending workouts. Even with the largest step surface available, the PowerMill Climber still boasts the smallest footprint of any climber in the industry, giving facilities a reliable, versatile option for their cardio layout.
Both the FlexStrider Variable-Stride Trainer and PowerMill Climber are available with Discover™ Tablet Consoles, which offer the most cutting-edge technology in the fitness industry. Exercisers can utilize the LFconnect™ app to access their customized workouts and save workout data, or use their favorite fitness apps that integrate with the LFopen™ platform, the industry’s first truly open API.
Both new cardio machines will be featured at IHRSA, March 13-14, 2014, at the Life Fitness booth 1615. For more information about the show, visit www.LifeFitness.com/IHRSA. For more information on Life Fitness visit www.LifeFitness.com.
