Congratulations to Life Fitness President Chris Clawson for winning the 2013 Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the Midwest Region. Chris shares this honor with his predecessor, Life Fitness co-founder Augie Nieto, and former Ernst and Young Entrepreneur Award recipient. The awards are the culminating event of the Ernst & Young Strategic Growth Forum, the nation’s most prestigious gathering of high-growth, market-leading companies.
When Chris Clawson took on the role of Life Fitness President in 2010, he wanted to return the company to its roots as innovators and industry leaders. His first move was to position Life Fitness as tech leaders in the fitness industry, while also creating products that would dictate the market, as opposed to react to it. Under his leadership, Life Fitness introduced a wave of ground-breaking tech advancements in the fitness industry, including the Discover Tablet Consoles and LFopen, the industry’s first and only truly open product platform.
