Opportunities and goals

The Challenge

The owners started a massive renovation in 2020 of all guest rooms and multiple public spaces, including the gym. Originally, there was a pool next to the fitness room on the third floor, which unfortunately was not used much and was very expensive to maintain. Given the number of sports teams that stay in the hotel, they decided to fill in the pool and create an exceptional fitness space.

The Process

The project was outlined together with Life Fitness and The Westin. The Westin traded in existing equipment to clear the space during construction. Over the two-year construction period they installed a temporary fitness facility in a conference space to provide hotel guests the gym experience they’re accustomed to.

The Equipment

The clear goal was to create a robust WestinWORKOUT that features a wide variety of cardio and functional strength, as well as a large stretch/yoga studio.

  • All products of the Elevation Series – treadmills, ellipticals, bikes and the PowerMill – with Discover SE3 HD console are perfect because they combine intuitive training with a high entertainment factor.
  • Well-selected strength training machines make ideal use of the space and provide workout options for everyone from beginners to pro athletes.
  • Functional training elements like the Heat Row and the SYNRGY system complement the offering.
