The YMCA has worked with Kent County to address the critical needs of an underserved community. The goal is to expand programming to help kids develop into healthy and well-rounded adults, encourage members to improve their health, create a sense of belonging, and support and care for vulnerable members of the community.

While the focus is on seniors and the deconditioned, the YMCA also has a SYNRGY180 functional group training space, areas for Olympic lifting, and a SYNRGY/multi-jungle. An indoor cycling room is outfitted with ICG exercise bikes. There has been a significant growth in membership and the facility has become a community hub.
