THE CHALLENGE
Collaborating with the world's second-largest cruise line presented two primary objectives.
Firstly, it was essential to reflect Royal Caribbean’s premium brand in every facet of the Icon of the Seas, including the fitness facility. Life Fitness aimed to elevate this brand by providing top-of-the-line equipment that matched the luxury and quality expected by Royal Caribbean's clientele.
Secondly, the logistics of equipment load-ins and installations posed a significant challenge. All activities had to be meticulously coordinated to occur while the cruise ship was docked, a task made difficult by the limited docking times available.
The Process
Life Fitness collaborated closely with Royal Caribbean to ensure the onboard fitness experience exceeded customers' high expectations.
Through constant communication and meticulous planning, they maximized the available port time for equipment installation. This seamless coordination between Life Fitness and Royal Caribbean ensured a smooth and efficient installation process.
The Outcomes/Results
Life Fitness transformed the fitness center on the Icon of the Seas into a world-class workout space, equipped with durable and reliable equipment. The facility now features Integrity+ with SE4, Hammer Strength machines, and Life Fitness strength equipment and accessories.
The spacious fitness area offers a variety of cardio, strength, and flexible training options, comfortably accommodating large groups of exercisers.
