CYBEX Awarded £318k Tender as Part of Telford and Wrekin Borough Towns Initiative
As part of a multi-million pound redevelopment programme in the region, Telford and Wrekin Council has confirmed that CYBEX has been awarded the tender to provide all cardiovascular and resistance training equipment in two sport and leisure facilities in the region.
The first of the two sites, Wellington Leisure Centre, is currently undergoing significant refurbishment, to include a brand new fitness suite. Set to open in autumn 2011, CYBEX will supply Wellington Leisure Centre with brand new cardio equipment including six 750T treadmills, eight Arc Trainers and six cycles. These will be accompanied by the Bravo functional trainer plus various pieces of equipment from CYBEX’s Eagle and VR3 strength lines.
The second site CYBEX will be providing with fitness equipment will be the brand new public leisure centre currently being built as part of the Abraham Darby Sports and Learning Community. This new development will also include both an academy and primary school. As part of the install, CYBEX will provide seven 750T treadmills, 11 Arc Trainers and six cycles. The new gym facilities will also include the Bravo plus equipment from the Eagle, VR3 and VR1 dual strength ranges.
The equipment installed at both sites will also include Inclusive Fitness Initiative (IFI) versions, as part of CYBEX’s Total Access range. As one of only a few suppliers to offer a comprehensive range of stage 2 IFI accredited equipment, CYBEX has developed the Total Access range to include both cardiovascular and strength training equipment designed specifically to suit the needs of physically impaired athletes.
