Cybex Uk Hq Awarded 1st4sport Recognised Centre Status

Cybex UK’s headquarters in Coalville, Leicestershire, has been named as a 1^st4sport recognised centre, as part of Cybex’s partnership with British Weight Lifting.

The award permits the Cybex HQ gym to host official 1^st4sport qualifications, including the 1^st4sport Level 1 Award in Coaching Weight Lifting.

The two day course, hosted by an accredited British Weight Lifting tutor and part of Cybex’s extensive Education Workshop Programme, is aimed at instructors and PTs with some knowledge of weightlifting but who would like to learn to apply this in a coaching environment. Those enrolled on the course would be introduced to the principles of planning, delivering and evaluating coaching activities in weightlifting.

As the official equipment supplier to British Weight Lifting, Cybex’s partnership with the national governing body continues throughout 2016 and will see Cybex supply Big Iron lifting platforms to the sport’s biggest domestic competition, the British Senior Weightlifting & Para-Powerlifting Championships, at the Ricoh Arena on 11-12 June.
